Proposed changes in Bill C-15 put Canada’s reduced library book-rate postage at risk, which would dramatically increase shipping costs and threaten interlibrary loan services nationwide.

We’ve teamed up with Lakelands Public Health to bring four new Grab and Go Bags to our collection, featuring books chosen to help kids explore stress, resilience, relationships, and inclusion. 

Kawartha Lakes Public Library will be discontinuing CreativeBug, Kanopy, and LawDepot on December 19, 2025 as we adjust our digital offerings.

Due to a fire at the branch last night, access within the Fenelon Falls Library is currently limited. The Fenelon Falls branch remains open, and patrons can continue to access public computers and pick up their holds.

Lindsay’s 2000 Millennium Time Capsule, placed under the eternal flame, opens Dec 16, 2025. Capsule items will be on display later in the week at the Lindsay Branch.

Our Lang Pioneer Village Museum community pass is unavailable until the museum reopens in May. Existing holds will carry over, but no new holds can be placed until then.
