- Entries must be submitted to a Kawartha Lakes Public Library branch by the contest deadline. Entries received after the deadline will not be eligible.
- Nine winners will be selected: three winners from each category (Child, Teen, and Adult).
- Winners will be selected by a small group of Kawartha Lakes Public Library staff.
- Winners will be contacted using the contact information provided on their entry form and must respond within 7 days of being contacted to claim their prize. If a selected winner does not respond within 7 days, another eligible entrant may be selected.
- Each winner will receive a Kawartha Lakes Public Library mug and printed copies of their winning bookmark.
- Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.
- Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
- Winners may be required to correctly answer a skill-testing question as required by Canadian law.
- Employees of Kawartha Lakes Public Library are not eligible to enter or win.
- Personal information collected through the contest will be used solely for the administration of the contest and in accordance with the Library's privacy policy.
- By accepting a prize, the winner agrees to the use of their name and/or photograph for promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.
- Kawartha Lakes Public Library is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, or misdirected entries.
- Kawartha Lakes Public Library is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in the contest or use of the prize.
- By entering the contest, participants grant Kawartha Lakes Public Library permission to reproduce, display, publish, and distribute their submitted artwork for promotional and community purposes. This may include use on social media, in print, on the Library's website, and through other electronic media.
- Kawartha Lakes Public Library may resize, crop, format, or make other minor modifications to submitted artwork as reasonably necessary.
- Participants transfer all ownership rights to their submitted artwork to Kawartha Lakes Public Library. All submitted artwork becomes the property of Kawartha Lakes Public Library, which may use, reproduce, modify, display, publish, and distribute the artwork in any format or medium, including for promotional and community purposes, without additional compensation to the participant.
- Submitted artwork may be displayed or distributed at Library branches, in the community, on the Library's website, and through its social media and electronic media channels. Artwork may be shared with the participant's first name and age.
- Designs must be the participant's own original work. Digitally created original designs are acceptable. Tracings, copied designs, AI-generated images, and reproductions of licensed characters will not be accepted.
- Kawartha Lakes Public Library reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these Contest Details and Conditions.
- Winners will be notified using the contact information provided on their entry form. Kawartha Lakes Public Library is under no obligation to communicate with entrants who are not selected as contest winners.
- Entering the contest signifies acceptance of these Contest Details and Conditions.
