Save the Date: Summer Reading Club is back!
Save the Date: Summer Reading Club is back!
Get ready for another exciting summer of reading, creativity, and adventure at the Library. Our annual Summer Reading Club is returning soon, offering children and families a fun way to stay engaged with books and learning all summer long.
Summer Reading Club is designed to help children maintain and strengthen their reading skills while school is out, all while making reading feel like part of the summer fun. Participants can set personal reading goals, track their progress, discover new books, and take part in themed activities, crafts, challenges, and special events happening throughout the season.
This year’s program will once again include a mix of self-directed reading, interactive activities, and in-branch experiences that encourage curiosity, imagination, and exploration. Whether your child is an emerging reader, an independent book lover, or somewhere in between, Summer Reading Club offers something for everyone.
Families can also look forward to special summer programming happening across our branches, including hands-on activities, guest visitors, lake-themed adventures, and opportunities to earn fun prizes and collectibles along the way.
Best of all, Summer Reading Club is completely free to join. Registration is open to children and families across Kawartha Lakes, and all Summer Reading Club events and activities take place at our 14 library branches.
Important dates to remember:
- Online registration opens: June 15
- In-person registration begins: June 20 at all library branches
Save the date and get ready to dive into a summer filled with stories, discovery, and fun.
