Make the most of sunny days with the Kawartha Lakes Public Library’s Library of Things. This collection offers outdoor equipment you can borrow, so you can enjoy the season without the cost or clutter of buying your own gear.
Perfect for backyard gatherings, park visits, and family outings, available items include:
- badminton sets
- soccer sets
- skittles
- bocce
- Spikeball
- cornhole
- pickleball equipment
- portable pickleball nets
For those who enjoy a quieter activity, we also offer birdwatching kits for both children and adults.

Explore Ontario Parks for Free
Library members can also borrow a free Ontario Parks vehicle permit. The pass allows one vehicle (excluding buses) and its occupants to enter any provincial park, subject to park regulations.
Permits are available for up to seven days and may be renewed if there are no holds.
