Kawartha Lakes Public Library will be discontinuing CreativeBug, Kanopy, and LawDepot on December 19, 2025 as we adjust our digital offerings.

Due to a fire at the branch last night, access within the Fenelon Falls Library is currently limited. The Fenelon Falls branch remains open, and patrons can continue to access public computers and pick up their holds.

Lindsay’s 2000 Millennium Time Capsule, placed under the eternal flame, opens Dec 16, 2025. Capsule items will be on display later in the week at the Lindsay Branch.

Our Lang Pioneer Village Museum community pass is unavailable until the museum reopens in May. Existing holds will carry over, but no new holds can be placed until then.

Library merchandise is now available, featuring new items, returning favourites, and special gift bundles. Browse online or shop in-branch to find the perfect book lover gift. 

Explore the shortlist of the most-read books in Adult, Teen, and Kids categories, borrow your favourites, and cast your vote before February 28, 2026. Winners will be announced in March 2026.

Our 2025 Summer Reading Club: Around the World was a huge success! With over 184,000 minutes read, 178 new library cards issued, and a 45% increase in attendance, families explored stories, crafts, and events across the City of Kawartha Lakes.

The Lindsay branch will be closed Wednesday, October 29, through Friday, October 31, for construction. For details and impacted services, read our update. The branch will reopen Saturday, November 1.
