Computer Access and Support.
Every Kawartha Lakes Public Library location has public computer stations for use.
Please be advised that public computer access is only available at Lindsay and Fenelon Falls locations at this time.
Computer access must be pre-booked in advance. Please call the Lindsay Library (705-324-9411 ext 1269) or the Fenelon Falls Library (705-887-6300) to book a computer time slot.
If you wish to bring your own device, you can book a table space for your use.
All time slots are 45 minutes in length. Computer access and printing/copying/faxing services are not available on the weekends at the Lindsay Library at this time.
Your library also offers technology training classes and one-on-one assistance with using computers or your mobile devices. Please see more information below.

The Kawartha Lakes Public Library offers free Wi-Fi access at all locations, no card or password required. In order to access the Wi-Fi at our locations:

Early Literacy Stations (not available at this time) |
Early Literacy Stations are designed for kids aged two to eight. They feature over 4,000 learning activities. The fun, interactive and engaging content spans all seven curricular areas. Early Literacy Stations can be found at Bobcaygeon, Dalton, Fenelon Falls, Kinmount, Kirkfield, Lindsay, and Oakwood branches. |
iPads and Laptops |
The Lindsay Branch has two Windows 10 laptops available for public use. You can use these devices in the Reference Department to practice your technology skills, access the Digital Library, make use of the greater privacy of our study desks or try out Windows 10 before you buy a computer if you are upgrading. The Fenelon Falls Branch has a collection of six iPads and 4 Chromebooks. You can use these devices in the library to practice your technology skills, access the Digital Library, and for personal use such as homework! The iPads and Chromebooks were generously donated by Pharmasave Fenelon Falls. |
One-on-One Technology Training - Waitlist ongoing (not available at this time) |
Your library offers the opportunity for you to book a half-hour, one-on-one training session to help you learn about using a computer or your mobile device, such as a smartphone or tablet. One hour sessions are available at the Lindsay branch. To sign up for a training session, please contact the Outreach Specialist to be added to the waitlist. |
