Early Literacy Kits

Early Literacy Kits are a fun way to introduce early learning and literacy practices for children. The skills learned through these kits will help you raise a great reader! Click on the kits below to learn more, or to place a hold.

How to Borrow and Return

Free to borrow with valid Kawartha Lakes Public Library card.
Loan Period: Kits can be borrowed for 1 week and are renewable if there are no existing holds.
Placing a Hold:
- Browse the list of available kits below.
- Select the kit you're interested in and click "Borrow" to place a hold on the online catalogue.
- A hold must be placed in advance. Library staff will contact you when your kit is ready for pickup.
- You can choose to pick up your kit at any of our 14 branches.
Returns: Kits must be returned during branch open hours, as they do not fit in book drops.
