Kawartha Lakes Public Library serves the residents of the City of Kawartha Lakes. A central Ontario municipality made up of historic towns, rural communities, and scenic natural landscapes. With 14 branches across this wide and vibrant region, we offer a single, shared collection that is accessible from any branch you call home. From borrowing books and exploring digital resources to attending programs and connecting through local partnerships, we are here to support learning, creativity, and community for all ages.
Vision
Community Hub – The Kawartha Lakes Public Library’s will be a true community hub, supporting the needs of our communities to achieve their fullest potential. The library belongs to the community and everyone in the community belongs in the library. (2022)
Mission Statement
Through its strong network of community branches, the Mission of the City of Kawartha Lakes Public Library is to provide its residents with easy access to a wide range of information resources, programs, equipment and services in order to encourage multiple forms of literacy and learning and to support community-based educational, cultural, and recreational activities.
