Throughout the summer, our library team will pop up in parks, beaches, trails, and other local spots across Kawartha Lakes to share stories, rhymes, and songs perfect for families.
Where Can You Find Us?
We will be popping up all summer long in different locations across Kawartha Lakes.
Some of our favourite spots include:
- Local parks and trails
- Local Provincial Parks
- Beaches and waterfront areas
- and other surprise locations!

Why Join a Pop-Up Storytime?
- Encourage a love of reading in fun, outdoor spaces
- Enjoy songs, rhymes, and stories for kids of all ages

Helpful Tips for Parents and Caregivers
- Bring a blanket or lawn chair for comfort
- Pack water, sunscreen, or bug spray, depending on the location
- Feel free to drop in and leave whenever it works for your family
- Storytimes last about 20–30 minutes
Cancellations
Pop-Up Storytimes are held outdoors, sometimes the weather doesn’t cooperate. If we ever need to cancel or reschedule, we will share updates on our social media pages. Be sure to check Facebook and Instagram @kawarthalibrary before heading out.
