Lindsay Friends of the Library
Who Are We
The Friends of the Lindsay Branch is a voluntary, charitable association started in 1999. Our aims are to:
- support and improve the services and resources of the Library
- to enhance the community's awareness of the Library's services and collections
- to nurture an appreciation of literature and culture
- to be an advocate for the Library
Become a Friend
Complete the Friends Online Application form or submit a paper copy and become a Friend today! Membership is free but annual donations are greatly appreciated.
- Individual $10.00 per year
- Family $15.00 per year
- Student $ 5.00 per year
As a Friend you will:
- receive our quarterly newsletter
- receive access to pre-sale viewings
- be eligible to serve on the Executive committee
- have voting privileges at the Annual General Meeting
- attend special events put on by the Friends
- be able to assist with existing activities
- contribute new ideas for fundraising and programming
Our Activities
Here is a list of our activities that support the library:
- book sales
- book club
- home book service (delivery of books to homebound patrons)
- reader's corner (reading to residents at Extendicare Kawartha Lakes long term care facility)
