Step Back in Time: Explore Our 2026 Historical Photography Exhibit
Visit our historical photography exhibit at the Bobcaygeon Branch, celebrating two significant milestones in our community: the 150th anniversary of Bobcaygeon's founding and the 25th anniversary of the amalgamation of the City of Kawartha Lakes.
This exhibit brings together a collection of historical photographs that capture the people, places, and everyday moments that have shaped our community over time. From bustling streets and local landmarks to quiet moments by the water, each image offers a glimpse into the past and a chance to reflect on how far we have come.
A Rotating Exhibit, Something New to Discover
Throughout the year, the exhibit will rotate every few months, featuring new sets of images from across Bobcaygeon and Kawartha Lakes. Each visit offers something different, so there’s always a reason to come back and explore more of our shared history.
We will be sharing exhibit updates, new image sets, and featured stories on our social media. Be sure to follow us to stay up to date and join the conversation.

The Bobcaygeon Community Art Program
The Community Art Program at the Bobcaygeon Branch is a partnership between Kawartha Lakes Public Library and the Kawartha Art Gallery. This program provides local artists with the opportunity to exhibit their work in the library for up to six months, helping to showcase the creativity within our community.
Please note that the Community Art Program is temporarily on hold for 2026 while we host our special historical photography exhibit celebrating two important local milestones: the 150th anniversary of the founding of Bobcaygeon and the 25th anniversary of the amalgamation of the City of Kawartha Lakes. We look forward to welcoming artists back to the Community Art Program in the future.
