Whether they're here for a weekend, a few weeks, or the whole summer, the library is a great place to visit. Many of our services, spaces, and programs are free for everyone, even if they don't live in Kawartha Lakes.

A Place for Everyone

With 14 branches across Kawartha Lakes, there is something for every visitor.

Visitors can:

• Join free programs and events
• Enjoy children's activities and crafts
• Use free Wi-Fi and public computers
• Print, copy, and scan documents
• Read magazines or explore our Digital Library
• Cool off in a comfortable, air-conditioned branch

Fun for Kids All Summer

Looking for something to do with the kids? During July and August, we offer more than 500 Summer Reading Club events. Children and caregivers can enjoy stories, crafts, games, and other fun activities together.

Can't make it to a program? Need something to do on a rainy day? Every branch has self-guided activities and crafts for children, along with shelves full of books to read together.

Staying a Little Longer?

Guests who are staying for a while can buy a Non-Resident Library Card for $40.

The card gives them one year of access to:

• Borrow books, movies, and other library materials
• Use our Digital Library
• Access many other library services and resources

With a collection that rivals those of much larger library systems combined with the friendly, personalized service of a local community library, there's always something new to discover.
