InterLibrary Loans Suspended Due to Canada Post Strike

On Thursday, September 25, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) announced that they were launching a national strike, effectively shutting down Canada Post operations across the country. 

The InterLibrary Loans (ILLO) service will be suspended for the duration of the strike. Patrons are welcome to continue submitting their requests through the website or staff, but we are unable to send the requests out to the other libraries in Ontario to fulfill. Once the strike is resolved and we are able to resume ILLO services, there will be a back log to work through and patrons will likely have a longer than usual wait to have their requests processed. This does not affect moving items between Kawartha Lakes Library branches.

Please note, library notices that you normally receive by mail will not be sent until the strike is resolved.
