 Summer Reading Club

Summer Reading Club Registration Details

You can pick up a passport at any library branch starting Saturday June 25th. To register in advance, click here to fill out the online form. Staff will let you know when the Summer Reading Club package is ready for pickup at your preferred branch.

If you register on or before Tuesday June 28th, your child will receive an entry into a draw to win 1 of 2 fairy tale themed DIY Cookie Decorating Kits.

Please submit your completed passport at any library branch by September 3rd, 2022.

The Summer Reading Club Passport

We have created a passport to help children track their reading, as well as to offer library and community-based challenges. At the end of the summer, all participants who submit their passport will be entered into a draw to win an amazing prize basket filled with items from local businesses.

Children can bring their passport to their branch each week to collect beads that can be strung on a lanyard. The more you read, the more beads you get! Children are encouraged to read for at least 15 minutes a day, either alone or with an adult.

Parents: Please record whether or not your child successfully read for 15 minutes each day by checking off the boxes provided on each page.

Summer Reading Club Programs

This summer we have an amazing lineup of fairy tale themed activities. To find out when this program is happening at your branch, visit the Events Calendar.

Registration is NOT required for these programs. Drop-ins are welcome!

Enchanted Crafts - Weekly Craft Program

There will be a weekly drop in craft program available at all Library branches throughout the summer. To find out when this program is happening at your branch, visit the Events Calendar.

*Please note that these crafts are available in addition to the weekly Take Home Packs being offered.

Weekly Take Home Packs

We have a great summer line up of neat crafts you can put together at home. The fun starts the week of July 4th. No registration required, pick up your FREE project materials and instructions at any branch while supplies last.

Each week, we will have another pack ready for pick up.

Storywalks

Storywalks are available in many communities this summer. A Storywalk is where pages of a children's book are posted on large yard signs stationed around a trail. This is a fun and educational activity that pairs literacy with physical activity and encourages families to get outside.

To view a complete schedule of Storywalks that are currently being offered, visit the Storywalk webpage.

Special Events

All branches will be hosting a special event. These may include reptile visits, farm animal visits, turtle visits, puppet shows and more. To find out when this program is happening at your branch, visit the Events Calendar.

Scavenger Hunt

An indoor fairy tale-themed scavenger hunt is available at all Library branches.

Drop in anytime the branch is open, get a scavenger hunt sheet and hunt away!

Photo Backdrop
Come take your photo with our photo backdrop! Either the castle or the fairy backdrop will be at a branch near you this summer. To find out when, visit the Events Calendar.
