We regularly bring in authors to the library. Check with your local branch or the online calendar for upcoming events.

Technology training

We are available to help you with:

your tablet, e-reader or computer
accessing online resources
using the library catalogue and website

Special events

Kawartha Lakes Public Library puts together special programs and events for everyone throughout the year, especially in celebration of Ontario Public Libraries Week.

Ontario Public Library Week

Ontario Public Library Week (OPLW) is celebrated every year during the third week of October.

During the week we offer the following:

Food for Fines: reduce your library overdue fines with donations of non-perishable food items.
Library Card Replacement: replace your lost or damaged library card for free!
Library Week Draw: enter for a chance to win our annual OPLW draw.
