One-on-One Tech Help and Device Clinics

Feeling stuck with your device? The Library is here to help you get unstuck. One-on-One Tech Training gives you personalized, hands-on help with technology in a relaxed and supportive setting. Available at all library branches, these individual sessions connect you with knowledgeable library staff who can help you build confidence and skills at your own pace - no question is too small. Whether you’re just getting started or looking to sharpen what you already know, we’re here to help.

During the 20-minute session, you can get assistance with things like using a smartphone or tablet, setting up email, navigating the internet, downloading eBooks and audiobooks, using library digital resources, or learning basic computer skills. Sessions are tailored to your needs and interests, making them a practical and welcoming way to learn. To book a session, simply contact your local branch to make an appointment.

We’re also pleased to offer monthly Device Clinic workshops at our Bobcaygeon and Lindsay branches. These clinics provide a welcoming, small-group setting where patrons can learn together under the guidance of a knowledgeable Library Information Technician. Whether you’re curious about a new feature on your device or looking for help troubleshooting a common issue, the Device Clinic offers practical instruction in a friendly, low-pressure environment. These workshops are a great option for anyone who enjoys learning alongside others while building confidence with their devices.
