Kawartha Lakes Public Library offers the following Municipal Services:
- Commissioner of Oaths (Fenelon Falls branch)
- distribution of City publications, surveys and information flyers
- battery and printer cartridge drop off
- pick up of processed Burn Permits - contact the Fire Department for more information
- sale of Dog Tags
- sale of Garbage Tags (regular, large, Freon and mattress)
- sale of Bulk Water (Fenelon Falls branch)
- well water testing sample bottles (Bobcaygeon, Coboconk and Fenelon Falls branches)
- drop off centre for delivery of completed municipal forms and applications
Libraries accept cash or cheque as payment for the services listed above. For more information contact your library branch. For links to the forms and more information on other municipal services visit the Applications, Licenses and Permits page on the City's website.
Please note the last day that you can buy recycling bins from the municipality is May 29, 2024.
Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) recycling started in Kawartha Lakes on April 1, 2024 (see more below). Since the municipality will no longer be responsible for recycling in Kawartha Lakes, we will no longer be selling recycling boxes or commercial carts at our Municipal Service Centres or library branches.
The following items will no longer be available for purchase from the municipality:
- Standard 14 gallon (53 litre) green box
- Standard 16 gallon (61 litre) blue box
- Extra-large 22 gallon (83 litre) blue box
- 65 gallon (246 litre) green commercial recycling cart
- 95 gallon (360 litre) blue commercial recycling cart
