Who We Are
The Friends of the Kinmount Library group was first started in 2003 and currently has a core membership of eight to twelve people. We strive to promote the use of our library; to support our librarian through volunteer activities and fundraising; and to advocate for our library and literacy in general.
Our main activity is fundraising through our monthly Book Sale, which helps our library purchase items that are not covered by the operating budget. These items include snacks for patrons, craft materials for children activities, media equipment and beautification projects.
Recent Additions to Our Library From the Friends Reading Garden with benches, plant trellis and shade cloth.
Multimedia purchases: TV, projector for movies, green screen to make movies.
Vegetable Garden planted by local Brownies with fall veggies donated to local food banks.
Solicited the City to create a walking path from the library to town
