Take Home Packs are activity packs that you can pick up at the library, and take home to enjoy.

Get Ready to Read
Get Ready to Read are early literacy packs designed for preschool and kindergarten-aged children 2-5 years old. These packs include simple activities that develop skills in reading, writing, talking, counting, singing, and playing.

This month children can develop pre-writing skills with these fun salt tray skaters. If you missed getting a kit you can put together your own at home by opening up and printing off the following links: You will also need a tray or container, some salt and a chubby handled paintbrush. This month children will practice letter recognition as they assemble a snowman. If you missed getting a package you can put together your own at home by opening up and printing off the following links: You will also need some scissors, glue or tape as well as a marker or crayon and something to glue your finished snowman onto.

Maker Packs are presented in partnership with Pinnguaq. These are hands-on activities for school-aged children aged 5 years and older. The packs are designed to build skills in the areas of STEAM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics.
